Our client is one of Africa’s fastest growing information technology companies. Headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya they specialize in designing, developing and implementing IT solutions. Their products are designed to meet core and non-core business requirements for a wide range of organizations in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, educational and manufacturing industries. They seek to hire a dynamic, innovative, professional sales and marketing executive.
Job Purpose:
Identifying potential clients and approaching them, preparing sales proposals, building and executing the sales strategy required to maximize revenue growth, developing and implementing a marketing plan to create solutions awareness
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducting a robust market research
- Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
- Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Determining a client’s business requirements and whether the products being considered are suitable
- Research and build relationships with new clients.
- Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals.
- Plan approaches and pitches – Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Participate in pricing the solution/service.
- Manage complex sales-cycle from generating interest though to close, often presenting product suite multiple times to various decision makers.
- Cooperating and communicating with Sales and Marketing Manager to inform them of new opportunities
- Adhere to previously defined target markets, utilizing creative ways to sell to hard-to-reach departmental heads, and alternative investment fund managers
- Organize and Track sales pipeline rigorously using company’s CRM solution in order to present sales progress to management
- Work with Sales and Marketing Manager to coordinate introductory meetings (demos)
- Maintain expert knowledge of Accounting practices and trends in the financial software industry
- Attend weekly sales meetings to discuss lead generation, sources, and quality
- Periodically attend networking events and conferences to further generate leads
- Brand Management – website, company profile, brochures etc
- Assist and Support Sales and Marketing Manager with various marketing projects as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor Degree in preferably IT, business management or sales and Marketing, or comparable area of study
- The Successful candidate should have 3+ years in a similar sales and marketing role selling software (Educational, pharmaceutical, clinical and accounting), technology, or financial related products or services
- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Accounting software, partnership accounting applications is a plus
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, focused and ambitious
- Self starter, who is organized, disciplined and goal orientated.
- Good organization and Management skill.
- Honesty and integrity.
- Can be able to achieve targets under strict timeframe.
- MUST pay keen attention to details.
