The Kenya YMCA National Training Institute (KYMCA NTI) was established in 1966 as YMCA Crafts Training Centre with the aim of providing vocational training to young school leavers.

In 2005, it was rebranded to National Training Institute and its programmes reviewed so as to meet the emerging students, industry and business needs. The KYMCA NTI is seeking to recruit for the following position:

Cleaners (2)

Job purpose: Responsible for cleanliness at the institute

Reports to: Principal

Duties responsibilities

• Undertake cleaning duties within the premises as required


• Collection and disposal of refuse


• Report any building defects


• Report health and safety concerns


• Remove all graffiti


• Undertake minor maintenance


• Take care of flower gardens within and around the institute

Qualifications

• KCSE D


• Cleaning, landscaping and maintenance experience preferably in an educational environment

Desired skills and competencies

• Physically fit/smart appearance


• Good interpersonal skills


• Willingness and flexibility to learn and then operate new procedures effectively


• Available and willing to work for long hours
