Job Title Manager School Operations – Nairobi
School Operations Manager Job Purpose
- Responsible for all duties that are non-educational relating to school operations covering the following areas Security, School Facilities Management, Transportations, Building Maintenance and Service Level Managements with service providers. Continuously exceed internal & external customer expectations, capitalizing the economic profit and return on capital investment, while embracing the clients Core Values Job Scope
- All non-educational school operations activities including providing administrative, operational, and logistical support towards student registrations and admissions; however excluding activities and decisions towards student assessments and placements Internal & External Interactions
- Employees of the school, (prospective) students & parents / guardians, and clients regional offices.
- Third party contractors and service providers, and national & county governmental agencies / authorities
Key Accountabilities
- Supervise and evaluate staff in the operations department at site.
- Manage all school scheduling, field trips, cafeteria, transportation, playgrounds, maintenance and cleaning services.
- Manage all security matters
- Manage community use of school facilities
- Responsible for school safety plan, disaster preparation, fire drills, student safety, public safety and student health at site.
- Co-ordinate with Principal to maintain a positive, safe learning environment for students by enforcing school policies and procedures.
- Manage school operations budget to achieve set financial KPIs.
- Enforce commercial agreements with service providers and monitor performance.

Qualifications for School Operations Manager Jobs in Kenya
- Minimum of a BA, preferably an MBA or equivalent (advanced) diploma/Certificate of School Business Management)
- Fluent English communications skills
- Attention to detail with diligent follow-up, and able to execute in a timely manner.
- Skilled in multi-tasking and handling pressure
- Capable of influencing people and talented in networking with cultural sensitivity.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a senior level position within a service oriented industry.
