Program Development & Quality Assurance Director

The Program Development & Quality Assurance Director will take leadership in donor engagement with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure diversification of funding and the growth of World Vision Sudan (WVS).


The position is also responsible ensuring quality and impact of all programs and projects implemented by World Vision Sudan.


The incumbent will lead the process of identifying funding opportunities, creating, cultivating and growing relationships with a wide variety of donors and leading the process of writing winning proposals to resource National Office Strategy.

Responsibilities Include:



  • Develop and review technically sound sectorial approaches and strategies which respond to humanitarian emergency and sustainable development of WV Sudan program which align with donor needs and requirements (OFDA, CIDA, DFID, AusAid, Germany Government, EC and ECHO), WV Development approach, LEAP and other WVI frameworks where applicable.

  • Lead growth and diversification of funding based on National office (NO) strategy by developing and reviewing concept papers and proposals for various projects and programs for funding in order to achieve WVS short-term and long-term goals.

  • Lead the office in maintaining donor engagement by developing and maintaining effective networking and relationships with donors and support offices to establish partnerships, market Sudan and seek funding opportunities for the wellbeing of children, families and communities.

  • Provide technical support and leadership in strategy formulation, implementation plan, execution and monitoring to ensure alignment with the global guidance and the regional strategy.


Required Skills Include:



  • University degree in International Development, Rural Development, NGO Leadership or a related discipline.

  • 6 years senior program development experience with an international NGO including.

  • Proven experience in program development and fundraising.

  • Proven experience in providing leadership to development and management of program monitoring and evaluation tools.

  • Proven ability to co-ordinate multiple donors, support offices and funding mixes.

  • Familiarity with donor requirements & regulations of OFDA, CIDA,DFID,WFP,UNICEF, KOICA, AusAID, EC, ECHO, German government.
