Job Title: Electronic Cargo Tracking System Equipment Supervisor

Department: ECTS

Reporting to: ECTS Regional Manager

Responsible for: ECTS Equipment Management


Purpose of the job:

to contribute towards the formulation of the overall Company Strategy and ensuring that it is successfully implemented


Main Responsibilities

Oversight and management for all Electronic Cargo Tracking System equipment

ECTS Equipment maintenance and stock control

ECTS Equipment checks & accountability

Produce, maintain & continuously improve procedures for effective management of ECTS equipment

Assist in ensuring sufficient resources are available to achieve operational objectives

Uphold policies designed to improve the company’s image & relations with customers

To encourage a work environment that is friendly and supportive

Liaison with the ECTS team relating to technical or operational events relating to the task

To keep abreast of & abide by Operations best practices & procedures

To look at ways of improving current procedures or practices relating to the business

Liaising with the direct line supervisor daily for priority requirements

Assisting where possible other members of the client ECTS team relating to operations


Qualification:

Relevant Technical degree/diploma – desirable

Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Computer literate


Experience required:

Delivering services in a large Client focused organisation

Stock control

Supervision of staff

Previous experience in a Cargo/Fleet Tracking company – desirable


Proven ability to:

Communicate effectively (verbally and in written form)

Maintain, support & promote ethical & professional values

Meet time lines

Work long or unsociable hours

Build and sustain relationships

Value, support and manage others

Gather, analyse and use information and evidence from different sources

Think and plan strategically and operationally

Solve problems

Work under pressure

Use of generic IT applications

Promote an organisation’s interests and values

Recognise own strengths and weaknesses

Improve and sustain performance in a service delivery organisation

Innovation and continuous development and improvement
