Expression of Interest to Provide Legal Consultancy Services
The County Government of Nyandarua Department of Legal and Public Services is in the process of formulating various legal policies and legislations.
The department invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for consultancy services as below
DPLPS/EOI/1/2014 – To offer consultancy Legal services and legal advisories
The objective of this consultancy is analyse and formulate various proposed Bills in areas such as governance and administration, enforcement, human resource development, and ICT Communication, trade, physical planning, disaster management and social economic issues as well as offering legal services as per need basis.
Expected Outcome
- To undertake and formulate comprehensive legal policies to enable the department realize its mandate of coming up with various legislations and use the laws as tool of social economic development.
- To build capacity of the department and enable it respond to various policy needs including interpretation of legal issues as well as representation in tribunals and courts as needs deserve.
- To build a data bank of qualified legal persons to be consulted for legal services and needs.
Requirements
- Registered and licensed law firm handling matters related to legal policy analysis, legal drafting, litigation, arbitrations, legal interpretations etc
- Distinguished and recognized legal resource persons including academia, researcher, drafter and policy analysts
- University students and Interns with a legal background
- Registered Firms with capacity of offering legal secretarial, process serving and clerical services
