Dispatch Manager

Reporting to: Warehouse Manager/Managing Director
Our client, a leading distributor in the East African region of dried fruits and whole foods among other bulk food items, with a sole agency for oats and cornflakes seeks to recruit a Dispatch manager.
The ideal candidate will take ownership in the running of the day to day dispatch operation, guide and lead the team and carry out second and final check to ascertain the accuracy of the items against the accounting documents that are presented for dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring that all staff work to their allocated shift and performing duties to the required standards by providing daily dispatch reports
- Maintaining the company’s standards in relations to food safety and timelines of delivery are kept.
- Recognizing and resolving discrepancies as they arise and make necessary reports to relevant officers.
- Ensuring that all orders are completed on time and purpose to mitigate any challenges that may come along the way.
- Ensuring that all outbound paperwork is accurate and recorded accordingly.
- Ensuring that all records electronic and paper are being maintained and recorded correctly.
- Ensuring that discipline and standards are maintained and any breaches of said standards are dealt with as per the company’s Disciplinary procedures and any other duties assigned by operation manager.
Qualification and Experience
- Degree or diploma in Business Administration or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of working experience in a similar position.
- The ability to plan and organize work schedules.
- Good decision-making skills
- Individuals who are honest and uphold integrity
- Have strong interpersonal skills, confidence and ability to lead team
