Kenya National Examination Council has added five more examination papers. The five papers are in the category of post-school examinations targeting professionals “who want to grow in various career paths”.
The council’s head of public communication Frida Were told the Star yesterday that Knec is developing examination papers.
The examination courses include:
- Craft certificate in Welding and Fabrication,
- Diploma in Welding and Fabrication,
- Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (Air Frame and Engines option),
- Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (Avionics option)
- Diploma in Construction Plant Technology
“The post-school examinations targeting professionals are normally taken in October or November,” Were said.
The new courses echo the plan by the Jubilee administration to build 135 Technical Industrial Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training colleges so that each constituency has a technical institution.
