Position: Senior Project Officer – Aquaculture

We work to improve incomes and food security of smallholder farmers, pastoralists, agropastoralists and forest dwellers in Ethiopia, Kenya, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.
Our Kenya country office is recruiting a competent and highly motivated person for the aquaculture ‘Aqua Shops’ project in Western Kenya.
Briefly, the role entails ensuring fish farmers access fish farming inputs, extension and advisory services; access high value cultured fish markets; improve fish husbandry and management practices that increase fish production and productivity.
The role will also ensure Aqua Shops Entrepreneurs and fish farmers access credit services and products; and roll out the revamped Farm Africa fish enterprise business model.
The successful applicant will have a relevant degree level qualification, preferably fisheries or aquatic sciences, experience working with the private sector and sound knowledge of sub-sector development and policy work in Kenya.
