The Youth Enterprise Development Fund (YEDF) board has a new boss after the appointment of Gor Evans Semelang’o – who has been the board’s chairman since January 16, 2013 was revoked.
“President Uhuru appointed Bruce Odhiambo’s who will take over from March 1,” repots capital news.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 (2) (a) of the Youth Enterprise Development Fund Order, 2007, I, Uhuru Kenyatta, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces appoint Bruce Odhiambo to be the Chairperson of the Board of the Youth Enterprise Development Fund,” a special issue of the Kenya Gazette reads.
Semalang’o who had been appointed by President Mwai Kibaki still had two more years left to serve as per the gazette notice that formalised his appointment.
President Kenyatta has appointed Odhiambo for a period of three years and he becomes the fourth chairperson since the inception of the fund in 2006.
Odhiambo has for the last seven years worked with women and youth to create competitive businesses as a Director of Infinity Business Solutions (IBS) Consulting Services.
He also holds a degree in Business Administration from Walden University of California with a specialty in Marketing.
