Our Client, a new provider of generators, submersible pumps, motors and other related products is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Technical Sales Representative.


The position is based in Nairobi and will report to the Executive Director.


Essential Key Responsibilities:



  • Cultivates and maintains favorable contact with potential new key accounts and major accounts of the organization for the sale of products and services.

  • Plan, execute and manage effective sales strategy to reach or exceed territory growth and revenue expectations.

  • Demonstrates complete knowledge of organization’s policies, procedures, products and/or services.

  • Communicates directly with new and existing customers or clients to help grow base of business through up-selling, new lead generation, referrals, and by explaining features and merits of products or services offered.

  • Demonstrates product or services and provides assistance in the best application of products or services.

  • Answers all questions concerning a product or service, with appropriate coordination of sales negotiations where required.

  • Analyzes and interprets records of present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred for management.

  • Coordinates company technical engineering support and services to ascertain customer’s needs.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience



  • Bachelor’s Degree in BSc Mechanical/Electrical , Marketing or Related Field

  • 2 Years’ experience in a busy medium or large organization with a valid driving license.

  • Ability to analyze potential markets, plan selling activities and provide accurate sales forecasts,

  • Knowledge of sales process.

  • Skills in exercising initiative, judgment, discretion and decision making to achieve organizational objectives, identify and resolve client issues.

  • Excellent listening, speaking and presentation skills.

  • Strong professional, ethical and personal integrity.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, projects and priorities to achieve personal, departmental and corporate goals and objectives.
