Summary
Our client is one of the largest air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration Contractor in Kenya.
The company has been in the business for 47 years during which period it has serviced large institutions such as hotels and office blocks.
As a part of a capacity strengthening process, the company wishes to recruit an experienced and passionate Business Development Manager to drive the country’s business growth agenda through the pro-active identification, assessment, pursuit and win of new business the empathetic servicing of existing clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy for Hall Equatorial’s entire business line, including brands that are sold and serviced by a sister company and continually generate new business leads that facilitate the acquisition of new business;
- Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with architects, engineers and contractors to generate business and drive sales.
- Provide leadership in developing a sales structure for the business
- Work in conjunction with the Technical Director to develop sales budgets and business plans and continually monitor performance against these.
- Work with the Sales and Distribution model to develop a distribution, installation and servicing model for the small business unit.
- Support the technical team to deliver pre-sales advice, product education, and after-sales support services including warranty administration.
- Support the Sales and Distribution Manager in organising product launches and exhibitions for the small units.
- Produce timely and detailed management reports to support on-going review, monitoring and management of all business systems and functions.
Requirements
- An honours degree, preferably in engineering and professional certificate in sales & marketing
- At least seven, 7 years sales experience in a comparable industry
- Strong business development expertise in respect to technical products
- A back ground of technical sales is required
- Strong planning and negotiation skills
- Strong relationship building and management capability
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good selling and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills;
- Focus on detail, implementation, follow-up and results driven;
- Excellent business presentation skills
