Due to our rapid expansion, we are seeking a results oriented, highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to fill the following vacant positions;
Finance Manager
REF; SST/FM/08/2014
Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer & Head of Commercial, the incumbent will be responsible for financial management of the company and deputizing the CFO.
Job Function
- Lead in effective financial management of the company and ensure the company meets its objectives.
- Ensure that appropriate financial regulations and controls are in place and in use at all times in consultation with the Chief Finance Officer/ CEO.
- Lead in budget formulation and reviews.
- Prepare executive briefs and business strategy briefs for the management.
- Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Finance and Accounting, an MBA an added advantage.
- Certifications in Accounting including CPA-K, ACCA or equivalent
- At least 5 years of relevant experience 2 of which should be in a people management role
- In depth knowledge financial software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and/or word processing required. Packages include: Microsoft Outlook, Access, Excel and Word plus university-specific accounting & reporting packages. Those familiar with ERP and other accounting packages will have an added advantage
- Knowledge of cost accounting methods and practices applicable to management of private and federal monies.
- Demonstrated understanding of various markets, and able to balance data analysis with good judgment and common sense
