Production Supervisor
Our client a leading Oil and Gas company in Africa is urgently seeking to recruit a Production Supervisor. The Incumbent will be tasked with a duty to manage the plant processes/activities. These include production/process plant, quality, utilities, and oil movements.
Manage operations of all designated production/process units within the constraints of budget and production programming requirements, and within quality & HSSE performance targets.
Position Project
Direct 2 (Filling Assistant and Blending Assistant)
Indirect 34 (contracted Staff)
Key Objective
- Track, interpret and implement standards that are applicable to the operations and facilities.
- Monitor statistical HSSE performance so that trends can be communicated to functional managers for action
- Ensure that HSSE management systems are live, relevant and up to date in all regard
Main Accountabilities:
The role holder is accountable to:
- Ensure that all operations and plant under his control meet the short and longer-term production programs, in a cost effective and safe manner.
- Ensure effective and efficient operation of all plant/processes/equipment, and containing process losses to the minimum.
- Ensure Blends Right First time + re-blends are within allowable target (97%)
- Ensure efficient consumption of energy, utilities, and other resources.
- Ensure that all activities carried out within the operations and plant under his control is in accordance with Group HSSE and Legislative standards and requirements.
- Set clear objectives for his subordinates in order to maximize their performance.
- Carry out the role of asset holder for plant and operations within his control.
- Ensure capex projects are implemented in time and in full
- Ensure that all subordinates are properly trained
Job Qualifications
- This job requires technical degree or experienced Higher Diploma graduate qualifications.
- 5 to 8 years of production plant experience is required.
- All the positions require hands on shop floor experience and a flair for managing literate/semi-literate work force.
- Strong management skills are required
- Knowledge of local language is critical (Swahili).

- Asset value: 1.8. M$
- Plant Capacity: 36 kmt LOBP
- Base oil capacity: 12k mt
- Additives capacity: 88mt & 2500 drums
- Blends-55, Fills-97
