As a result, vacancies exist in the Sales & Distribution; Export & International sales; and Finance departments for which we seek qualified and motivated candidates
Position: Country Accountant – Rwanda
Reporting to the Subsidiaries & Reporting Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for:-
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring all account transactions of the branch are captured correctly and fully recorded in the books;
- Ensuring daily banking is done and bank reconciliation done regularly;
- Maintain a detailed fixed asset register;
- Preparing detailed audit schedule for yearly external audit;
- Ensure compliance with all tax and other statutory requirements (payments and returns) as per Rwanda laws;
- Maintaining petty cashbook and administer petty cash float;
- Facilitating payments to suppliers;
- Carrying out system administration in pastel such as unit cost input, price input, stock take in the system;
- Assisting in logistics issues such as customs clearance and documentation;
- Carrying out regular stock take of the Warehouse;
- Consolidating annual budget for the company;
- Maintaining and provide monthly management accounts and other relevant reports as may be required;
- Ensuring correct invoicing and receipting to customers.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Holder of a Bachelor’s of Commerce (Accounting, Finance) degree or equivalent;
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) or ACCA is an added advantage;
- Conversant with International Accounting Standards;
- Knowledge of Computerized Accounting systems preferably Pastel & Sage;
- Four (4) years’ experience preferably in FMCG with knowledge of a financial enterprise resource tool;
- Knowledge of Company Law, Business law and Tax and customs laws of Rwanda will be added advantage;
- A Person of high integrity, Honest, good communicator and self – discipline.
