Summary:

Job Objective:
This role will be responsible for capturing needs, analyzing operational processes, defining functional specifications, and delivering solutions designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations, risk management, and law enforcement activities. This role interacts with external and internal customers such as elected government officials, directors, and functional leads in various fields of expertise related to government affairs, economy, international trade, and operations management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Organize and coordinate the improvement of the client’s Intelligence platform at the country level as an operational and analytical tool for our customers and for internal operations.
- Manage customer satisfaction related to reporting and intelligence solutions
- Manage the development and delivery of intelligence solutions
- Build and grow a network of internal subject matter experts in fields relevant to the specific needs of the customer and internal operations
- Proactively identify and research opportunities to enhance and grow the client’s intelligence platform as a tool for our customers and as an internal source of information for improving quality and operational efficiency.
- Liaise with other sales and technical teams to share and exchange information on new technologies, competition, solutions, etc.
- Gather and analyze pertinent data related to illicit domestic and international trade
- Negotiate access to data sources needed for the development or improvement of the solution
- Provide support, training, and customer service to users for all issues related to the intelligence platform
Skills And Certification:
- Experience with software development life cycle, business analysis, and project management methodologies
- Excellent communication and language skills in English and in Swahili.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (technical or business)
- Five (5) years of experience in the implementation of Information Systems with a proven track record in the development and support of intelligence solutions
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Results oriented, goal driven personality
- Ability to prioritize and work independently
Other Relevant Factors:
- Strong problem solving and data modeling skills.
- Proven team player with strong interpersonal skills, possessing a demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects with varying priorities.
- Identify and quickly escalate situations requiring urgent attention
- Prepare regular activity reports
- Troubleshoot performance issues
- Mentor and train other development and technical staff on the solution
Personal Skills:
- Proven ability to work equally well with technical specialists and non-technical users
- Collaboration, teamwork, and exchange of knowledge in a geographically distributed and multicultural environment is expected
- Ability to maintain a positive and reliable work attitude even when confronted with high pressure situations.
