Public Relations officer
Our client company is a State Corporation whose mandate is to design, construct, operate and maintain new high voltage electricity transmission lines. It seeks to engage a Public relations Officer.
General Job description of the role:
- Responsible for designing, planning developing and implementing the business’s marketing, internal and external corporate communications and public relations initiatives, under executive guidance and direction.
- Efficient database management
- Monitor the effectiveness of the brand positioning
- Manage strategic communications programs to facilitate the cultivation of a positive corporate image for the company as a high-performing organization of highly engaged employees
- Maintain healthy relations with all stakeholders via all available communication channels (print, electronic, online, etc.)
- Support policy implementation in Procurement, electrical and Security to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of organization in working with the respective Officers/Coordinators;
- Liaise with the Country Office on development and application of policies in order to enhance the operations systems that are valuable for the Area Office.
Requirements:
- Kenyan citizen
- Degree in public relations/ communications
- Minimum of 5 yrs experience in the same role.
- Good soft skills
- Contacts with utilities
- Liaison with Central/Provincial/Local Govt. Authorities for ROW clearance, permits etc.
- Liaison with Police for safety /security.
- Statutory and other compliance documentation
