Assistant Marketing Manager

We are recruiting for an Assistant Marketing Manager to be based in the Nairobi.
The purpose of this job is to effectively and efficiently co-ordinate the marketing function in order to promote business and ensure achievement of the business goals.
The Job Holder will report to the Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Cordinate the various marketing tasks carried out in the department
- Prepare and monitor production reports against the set monthly budgets
- Liaise with the underwriters to ensure business from intermediaries is booked accordingly and in a timely manner including follow up on brokers’ quotations.
- Recruit new brokers and agents, facilitate their account opening and keep track of their records.
- Liaise with the underwriting department for broker’s quotations
- Identify tender advertisements, arrange for tender purchase once approved and ensure tender requirements are assembled and bound properly before submission date.
- Generate new business and ensure sales targets are met
- Oversee product development or monitor trends that indicate the need for new products and services
- Gather business intelligence, analyze business development and monitor market trends
- Customer relationship management
Education, Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in commerce or a Business related degree
- At least 5 years’ experience in marketing and underwriting
- ACII (Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute of London) qualifications
- Knowledge of IRA, KRA,AKI, RBA regulations
- Excellent IT and communication skills
- A leader who takes initiative and has a good track record.
- An individual with a creative mind and has a positive disposition
