Maintenance Manager (1)
The scope of the maintenance manager is;
- To plan, direct and coordinate the key Engineering and Facilities operations of Kijabe Hospital including Biomedical and General Maintenance (Electrical, Plumbing, and Head Tradesmen).
- Responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and sustainability of the Engineering and Facilities Department through the provision of effective methods and strategies.
- Responsible for repairs, preventive and scheduled maintenance of all Hospital assets including buildings, hospital equipment, electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical installations, and of biomedical and specialist medical equipment. This includes the housing facilities.
- Deputize for E&F Director in his or her absence
Skills and personal qualities:
- Knowledgeable about electro-mechanical systems
- Posses the attitude to make patient care the primary concern
- Good interpersonal, spoken and written communication skills
- Precision and attention to detail and technically competent
- Ability to plan and organize a team effort
- Good client management and goodwill building ability
- Capacity to motivate, lead and boast morale of the teams
- Effective time management and logical decision making ability
Computer skills:
- Must be adept in use of MS Office 2007 or later, particularly Excel and Word, Internet and email
- Working knowledge of the use of CAD software preferably AutoCAD, ms-project.
Education requirements:
- Applicants should have a Degree in Mechanical and/or Mechatronic Engineering with a minimum of two (2) years work experience in engineering systems. Other engineering degrees may be considered with relevant work experience.
