Assistant Farm Manager
Our client is s a licensed GIS company that specializes in aerial photogrammetry, satellite imagery and a wide variety of other GIS services. They are looking to hire an assistant farm manager who will be based on the field at their farm in Nyandarua, Kenya.
Knowledge/ Education
- A Diploma in Animal Production
- A certificate in Animal production related field an added advantage (A.I. services, Livestock health management…..)
- Skills/Competencies of the Assistant Manager
- Knowledgeable in Animal Husbandry (Esp. Dairy Cattle)
- Fodder Establishment and Management Skill
- Energetic Person
- Good Reporting And Presentation Skills
- Linguistic (Eng. & Swahili + Any Kenyan dialect)
- Computer Literate
- Team Player
- Temperament (low)
Responsibilities
- The Assistant Manager will Report to the Farm Manager and Work, coordinate and supervise all the farm activities as Directed or advised by the Manager
- Coordinates and supervise all livestock production activities
- Monitor the livestock for disease and injuries
- Coordinates and supervise fodder and pasture management activities
- Manage all the records in the farm
- Supervise cleaning and Inspect cleanliness especially in the livestock houses
- Write weakly, Quarterly and Yearly reports under the supervision of the Manager
- Will also do others duties delegated to him/her by the farm Manager
