Furniture Workshop Manager
Our client a leading Furniture Company is seeking to recruit Furniture Workshop Manager for its Nairobi branch. The incumbent will be tasked with the following responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily planning and monitoring of furniture construction work to ensure efficient use of resources and meeting of customer requirements.
- Effectively processing of furniture orders to ensure customer requirements in terms of Quality and delivery time are met.
Verification of job cards to ensure accuracy.
Verification of Bill of Material to ensure accuracy. - Following up furniture orders to ensure work is going on as planned.
- Processing of service work and ensuring meeting of deadlines.
- Effectively registering and addressing of customer complaints.
- Establishing the root causes, preventive action and implementation of preventive action/solutions of customer complaints reported.
- Updating work in progress.
- Ensuring maintenance of carpenters and service team discipline.
- Compiling and submission of reports as per company requirements.
- Formally transferring of finished work to next relevant sections.
- Collection of accessories from the stores for use by carpenters.
- Counterchecking job in hand against order requirements at every stage of production.
- Updating worksheets/ time sheets for carpenters.
- Maintaining efficiency in the area
- Responsible for products or parts thereof within the sections.
Key Result Areas
- Meeting of deadlines (carpentry work, service work and complaints response).
- Internal/ external rejects-complaints arising from carpentry section.
- Establishment of root causes, solution/preventive actions and implementation of solutions of customer complaints reported.
Professional Qualification
- Diploma in related field
- 4 years experience in the same field
