Stock Controller
Our client, is a diversified book-seller in Kenya and the whole of Africa, and has over the years grown tremendously to become the leading bookstore chain in the region.
Our client seeks to hire a stock controller who will report to the Purchasing and Supplies manager.
Job Summary:
The job purpose of the Stock Controller will be to ensure the organization has optimal levels of stock at all times.
Primary responsibilities:
- Ensure all inventory and stock management systems are maintained accurately, within the agreed parameters and in a timely manner
- Immediately alert the Purchasing and Supplies manager when a budget is exceeded
- Maintain a process for returns
- Process purchase orders
- Receive Deliveries
- Reconcile Delivery notes with purchase orders
- Record serial numbers where applicable
- Monthly stock take and reconciliation of stock
Qualifications, skills, and Experience:
- At least a diploma in purchasing and supplies, procurement, finance, or a related discipline
- At least two years’ experience in a similar role
- Must have ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Note: The person must know how to use Excel spreadsheet at an advanced level.
