Job Title: Business development Manager – Data Storage


Department: Sales

Reporting to: General Manager


Essential Business development Manager Requirements



  • Having worked in similar capacity either with an OEM or distributor or reseller

  • Experience with Enterprise IT – Data Centre, data storage solutions, virtualization solutions.

  • The candidate should be owning a car for travel intracity to meet up with partners/ customers


Duties and Responsibilities for the business development Kenyan job



  • Prime responsibility for Sales Revenues, and coordination of pre-sales efforts for improved performance and effectiveness of the Company

  • Engage is business development activities, with channel partners and with direct end-user prospecting, business case discussions, presentations, solution sales build up and follow through to effective closure.

  • To liase with Principals till successful resolution in matters of commercial difficulty regarding all products of distribution

  • Be prime lead on all matters related to commercial negotiations.

  • To propose efficient and valid bill of materials, and design and technically vet solutions for resellers and end-users, together with team

  • To develop through effective, timely and continuous activity a market environment of high receptivity to the products and solutions of EMC

  • To successfully manage and assist in managing of projects so undertaken by the Company, in relation to the job.

  • Provide adequate support to current customers and define customer acceptance criteria for “try and buy” evaluation projects·

  • Work with team to respond to RFPs·

  • Attending customer calls with the team·

  • To actively achieve the quarterly revenue targets set by the Company

  • Good interpersonal communication and customer interaction skills are needed in order to work successfully with prospects, customers, and cross functional teams to

  • Meet performance goals·

  • Excellent Account management skills with aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilise them in a customer facing scenario·


Required Background


Education:



  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Any other relevant certifications will be a plus


Experience:



  • 3 – 4 years in similar capacity

  • Personal skills and qualities:

  • Should be smart and able to handle difficult situations.

  • Should be enthusiastic and a go getter.

  • Should relish meeting up with people.

  • Should be able to motivate people to achieve set targets
