Youth Alive Internship Description
- We are looking for an intern to work under the organization’s programmes and reporting to the Project Coordinator. The position will entail providing direct assistance to the implementation of all projects, supporting the expansion of programmes and the development of new activities under the programmes.
Specific duties and responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of various projects under the programmes as guided by the Project Coordinator
- Assist in the preparation of projects status reports required for budget review, programme analysis, reports, etc
- Assist in co-ordinating and organising meetings, workshops and seminars and other activities related to the programme implementation and assist in the preparation of presentations of such workshops and meetings
- Assist with field work in Nairobi and throughout the country
- Assist in coordinating the activities of the youth development working groups under the democracy and governance programme component
- Any other duty called upon to serve from time to time.
Desired Skills & Qualifications for Youth Alive Internships in Kenya
- Must be between the ages of 20 and 25 years;
- Must be a graduate of social sciences, international relations or any other related courses from an accredited institution of higher learning in Kenya or elsewhere;
- Must be a fast learner with excellent interpersonal skills;
- Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills with fluency in English;
- Must be a team player with the ability to work with others to achieve high goals in a fast paced and culturally diverse environment;
- Must have knowledge of the current youth related issues in Kenya;
- Must be a self-starter with ambition who can work independently and handle multiple priorities and deadlines;
- Must be an outstanding role model for young people, of unquestionable integrity and high ethical standards.
