Roles and responsibilities
- Provide technical support in the design and development of the AWARD Management Information System (MIS), including coding, testing and debugging support
- Assist in assessing MIS needs and develop required solutions
- Assist in collecting and collating quality program activity data
- Assist in data analysis, modelling, visualization, and reporting
- Provide data summaries and write-ups in line with internal and external demands
- Document, archive, and retrieve AWARD information materials
- Provide support for M&E administrative functions
- Serve as help desk for the website, portal, and MIS based inquiries
Skill set for Program Assistant Jobs in Kenya
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems or a related field is preferred.
- Candidates working towards a relevant bachelor’s degree will be considered
- 2 years of programming in object-oriented programming languages like PHP or Java
- Demonstrated logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- 2 years website management and publishing
- Power user of Microsoft Office Professional suite, and good user of the Adobe suite, and the Google platform
- Knowledge and experience of creating and testing web-based applications in SQL and MySQL databases
- Experience in developing applications on a PHP Framework such as Yii or CodeIgniter preferred
- Experience in data modelling, visualization, analysis, and reporting
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Learning mind-set and willingness to share knowledge with fellow staff members.
- Keen attention to details
- Self-drive, motivation, initiative, and teamwork
