Office Assistant Job Summary

Maintains office operations by receiving and distributing communications, maintaining supplies and equipment, picking-up and delivering items as well as serving customers.

Office Assistant Job Duties:

  • Cleaning the office and ensuring that staff work in a clean and friendly environment.
  • Forwards information by receiving and distributing communications; collecting and mailing correspondence; copying information.
  • Maintains office supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels and anticipating requirements and delivering supplies to work stations.
  • Maintains office equipment by completing preventive maintenance; troubleshooting failures; calling for repairs; monitoring equipment operation.
  • Serves customers by backing-up receptionist; questions; forwarding messages.
  • Assist in answering of call,
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications for Office Assistant Jobs in Kenya

  • Office Experience – General, Scheduling, Telephone Skills, Typing, Documentation Skills, Meeting Planning,
  • Verbal Communication, Written Communication, Dependability, Attention to Detail, Administrative Writing Skills
  • Minimum one year experience in a similar position.
  • Experience working in a cleaning company will be an added advantage.
  • Diploma in Business Administration or secretarial studies.
